Firstly the front desk girl Lisa was very nice, so that was a good start. The double room is large and well enough appointed, but smells funny/old. Granted it is an old hotel, but I have stayed in many of those, without a bad smell. The shower is small, no tub. The bathroom smelled clean but the floor was dirty looking.
The box spring is also encased, unreal! I get that new matresses are expensive, but really? The sign says remodeled in 2014, its time to take off the plastic! Let your guests sleep! I complained at the desk, she was sympathetic and called someone that said they could not authorize taking the plastic off without the owners consent and he was out of town.
Due to work I stay in a different hotel every night pretty much. This place is nice and cozy. The front desk lady was friendly and very helpful especially at 2am. The shower pressure was amazing it was like being under a warm waterfall I love it when a place has a great shower like this. When you're on the road all the time a shower will make you feel like a million bucks. The rooms are cute and cozy with the obvious remodeling that has been done. For $50/night I'd stay here any time! Enough parking for a 60ft truck this night at least. Only real complaint is the plastic mattress cover that's on the mattresses. But it's not something I'll complain much about as I'll be sound asleep shortly.
The other reviews are from years ago I guess this place use to be a dump maybe but it's nice and serves its purpose in a great manner now!
I am writting this to warn others, if this is an issue for you, there is a motor in around the corner. Wish I stayed there. Unfortunately our Verizon phones didn't bring up internet since this is an AT&T network area. So we drove in blind.
Decent, inexpensive hotel ($49/nt). Clean rooms and comfortable beds. No coffee maker, phone, or fridge in the room we stayed in, and the wifi was very spotty.
Stinky, dirty and gross. Great if you are a prostitute or a drug dealer. AVOID THIS PLACE!
It's a good place to rest old building but clean
The main reason i am giving only 2 stars is that the owner has kept the plastic bags on the mattresses! How can a person be expected to sleep on rustling plastic all night!
